Tesla expands market in Southeast Asia

ThailandThe American electric car company has registered its products in the land of the Golden Temple, and not only sells cars, but also car batteries and solar cells.

There is currently no official announcement from the Indonesian government, but it is possible that Tesla will enter this market this year. Currently the only country in Southeast Asia where Tesla has an official presence is Singapore.

In Malaysia, it seems that the company intended to set up a charging system in this country only to support Tesla cars driven from Singapore.

In Thailand, there have been a number of Tesla models used by people through private import routes. Even the Thai police patrol has used 3 Model 3s since 2020.

With 750,000 vehicles sold in 2021 and expected to reach 800,000-90,000 vehicles this year, Thailand seems to be an important auto market in Tesla’s growth and expansion plans.
