Vice President of the United States continues to call for a ban on guns

Speaking when attending a ceremony to pay tribute to a victim of a shooting incident at a supermarket two weeks ago, Ms. Harris emphasized:

“Let us stand together so that this does not happen again in our country. We need courage to do this. As for the issue of gun violence, I’ve said countless times, we can’t just sit around and find solutions. We are not looking for a vaccine. We know exactly what needs to be done. One of the main solutions is to ban offensive weapons.”

A series of mass shootings have occurred in the United States in recent years. Most recently, on May 24, there was a shooting at a school in the town of Uvalde, Texas, USA – killing more than 20 people, most of which were elementary school students. U.S.

Campaign groups are now pushing the administration of US President Joe Biden to take stronger measures to prevent gun violence. While the White House is also pressing the US Congress to pass stricter gun control laws, with more lasting impact than other measures.

Related to the shootings in Uvalde, yesterday many townspeople, continued to lay flowers and light candles in front of the school to remember the victims. During a ceremony yesterday, US President Joe Biden called on the American people to unite to make the country stronger after the shooting.
