“I think it is necessary to tighten licensing in the opening of beauty care centers, and at the same time, require workers in the centers to be trained, certified, and practice. In fact, many workers without technical expertise, causing harm to customers”, Mr. Lan said.

Note about tuition fees and jobs after learning the beauty care profession

With the beauty care training institution belonging to spas, private establishments, training in the form of both teaching and doing may be shorter. Students only need to study from 8 months to 1 year. Tuition for a course of this type is also much cheaper, only 8-10 million VND. Some students can even receive a salary allowance after 2-3 months if they do well.

Whether studying at TVET institutes or beauty salons, spas, after-school students are consulted for job placement if needed. Of course, the level of income also depends on the skill level of the students and workers.

According to Mr. Pham Xuan Khanh – Rector of Hanoi High-Tech Vocational College, graduates beauty care department 100% of the university’s college system has a job right away. The average income of the children is from 8-10 million VND/month and gradually increases with time and skill of each worker.

“Many children, after 1-2 years of working as hired laborers, can open their own beauty salon with a revenue of 400-500 million years,” Mr. Khanh said.

In addition, some TVET institutions now have joint training programs with vocational training institutions abroad to help students gain degrees and improve technical skills.
