Firms do not have time to deliver the car on the last day of the pre-registered offer

Firms such as Hyundai and Kia do not have enough cars to deliver to customers to pay registration fees, some respond by paying documents in advance.

Today (May 31) is the last day to offer 50% registration fee discount for domestically assembled cars after 6 months of implementation. If on the first day of implementation, tax branches and vehicle registration offices were packed and overloaded with people going through the procedures, the last day was deserted and sparse.

The impact of the epidemic caused a global shortage of auto parts, and car manufacturers in Vietnam also faced this difficulty. Demand has always exceeded supply for many months, so even if they have money to buy a car, customers will not receive a car to go to the sea before June 1.

Some dealers of Kia, Mazda, Peugeot or Toyota brands use the method of handing over documents in advance to customers to pay registration fees, when there is a car to be delivered. Dealers said that the car often lacks components such as screens and some electronic details, so even though it has been formed, it can be rolled but still cannot be delivered to customers.

However, the risk of this method is that the customer will take a long time to change the information on the invoice if there is an error, besides, if the car is faulty, the customer will not be able to change another car but can only wait. repair, because the previous receipt clearly stated the vehicle’s chassis number and engine number. In addition, in some localities, after paying tax for 30 days without registering to the sea, vehicle owners may be fined from 2-3 million VND.

Also because of these risks, not too many customers choose the form of getting papers in advance to “run tax”.

The lack of goods is also the reason why many dealers take advantage of it by asking customers to buy more accessories, or pay the difference to receive the car early. Firms such as Toyota, Hyundai, and Ford all have the answer “will correct” this situation, but in fact, customers still have to pay more at dealerships.

Currently, most manufacturers cannot predict when the supply of new components will be enough. Meanwhile, customers who need a car right away can choose from a range of cars that are available in stock, or the waiting time is not too long. Besides, used cars and surfing cars are also an option worth considering.
