Sad news for users looking forward to iPhone 14 Pro

According to information from ShrimpApplePro, Apple’s A16 chip will be manufactured with the same process as the iPhone 13’s A15 Bionic. The same goes for the M2 chip, which is expected to appear on the new generation MacBook models.

Meanwhile, analyst Ming-chi Kuo believes that TSMC’s N3 and N4P fabrication processes will not be put into mass production, at least until 2023. Therefore, the N5P and N4 processes will are the latest possible technologies for Apple’s microprocessors released this year.

According to Ming-chi Kuo, the N4 does not have many improvements over the N5P – the process currently used to produce the A15 Bionic chip for the iPhone 13 and iPad Mini series. So Apple will continue to stick with the N5P process on the A16 chip. The expert also added that the performance upgrades of the A16 chip compared to the A15 are very limited and the naming “A16” is for marketing purposes only.

Similarly, the M2 chip on the MacBook Air 2022 is also expected to encounter the same situation as the A16. However, some sources believe that the MacBook Air will own a completely new design and performance will not be too important a point on this device.

Apple is expected to launch the iPhone 14″ on September 13, 2022. While the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max are expected to come with last year’s A15 Bionic chip, the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max series will come with the next-generation A16 Bionic chip. Notably, Apple will probably remove the Mini version after the product’s business results in the market are lackluster.
