Sentenced for throwing a woman on the bonnet after a ‘streetwalk’

Today (May 31), the Hanoi People’s Court sentenced defendant Nguyen Ngoc Thanh (SN 1996, in Hai Ba Trung district) to 12 years in prison for murder.

Previously, in 2018, Thanh was sentenced to 10 months in prison by the People’s Court of Hoang Mai district, Hanoi for Theft of property and 10 months in prison for fraud to appropriate property.

In March 2019, the defendant completed his prison sentence. This offense Thanh is considered a repeat offender.

According to the indictment, on June 18, 2021, Thanh borrowed a Mazda 3 car from Mr. Tran Quang Linh (SN 1999, in Thanh Tri to use).

Around 5:00 p.m. on June 20, 2021, the defendant drove the car to stop on the roadway, in front of house number 50, Ngo Sy Lien street, and then walked into the house of his girlfriend, Ms. Lane 11B, Ngo Sy Lien Street.

At about 21:20 on the same day, Thanh and Tam went out to get a car. When the defendant opened the car door to prepare to drive the car away, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Aluminum (SN 1963, living at house number 50 Ngo Sy Lien street) ran out of the house loudly about Thanh parking her car in front of the door, obstructing her life. her family activities.

Words went back and forth, but because someone intervened, Thanh and Tam got into the car and started the engine to leave. At this time, Ms. Aluminum stood in front of the car, asking the defendant to get out of the car to talk, but Thanh refused.

Ms. Aluminum hit 2 times on the bonnet and then climbed up and lay face down on the bonnet of the car.

Annoyed about being scolded by Ms. Aluminum, Thanh steers the car towards Quoc Tu Giam Street while Ms. Aluminum is still lying face down on the bonnet, her hands clinging to the edge of the bonnet close to the front windshield.

Driving the car to the house number 86 Ngo Sy Lien Street, Thanh stopped the car and told the woman to get off, but Ms. Aluminum still did not get off.

Observing that there were many runners chasing behind, the defendant continued to get in the car, speeding up and running away. When he came to the turn from Ngo Sy Lien Street to Quoc Tu Giam Street, Thanh drove the car to turn right and entered Quoc Tu Giam Street.

Due to the car running at high speed, the steering wheel turned sharply, so Ms. Aluminum was thrown from the bonnet of the car and fell onto the road.

Seeing that Ms. Aluminum was thrown from the car and fell on the road, Thanh did not stop the car but continued to drive the car to run away. Soon after, he and his girlfriend rented a motel in Ngoc Thuy ward to sleep.

Meanwhile, Ms. Aluminum was thrown from the bonnet of the car by Thanh’s car driver to the road surface with serious injuries and was taken to the emergency room by everyone.

The conclusion of the forensic examination of Ms. Aluminum’s injury showed that she had broken the left temporal bone and the left sphenoid wing; subarachnoid hemorrhage and subdural hematoma in the right temporal parietal region… health damage rate is 63%.

On the afternoon of June 21, 2021, Thanh was urgently arrested by the police and impounded the car for investigation and clarification. For her part, Ms. Aluminum proposed to strictly handle Thanh in accordance with the law.
