After 1 day of the accident, the patient went to the hospital for examination and treatment.

Doctor Nguyen Duy Khanh, Center for Andrology, Vietnam-Germany Friendship Hospital said that Mr. T. was admitted to the hospital in a state of swollen, bruised right testicle, large hematoma in the right scrotum. When surgery had about 300g of blood clots, the right testicle ruptured in two locations, 2×3 cm and 1x2cm, with 50% loss of parenchyma. The doctors took the hematoma, stopped the bleeding, and preserved the right testicle.

Currently, 3 days after surgery, the patient is stable and has been discharged. On the day of discharge, Mr. T said, with a passion for the king sport, he will continue to play football but will use protective gear to ensure the safety of the “little boy”.

Prof. Dr. Nguyen Quang – Chairman of the Vietnam Association of Sex Medicine, Director of the Center for Andrology, Vietnam-Germany Friendship Hospital, scrotal injuries and testicular rupture are common accidents when playing sports, especially are combat sports such as martial arts, football, etc. In many cases, delaying treatment when experiencing testicular trauma leads to infected scrotum, fibrous adhesions, abscess formation inside the trauma area, and heavy than patients at risk of orchiectomy, the pain persists throughout life.

Therefore, doctors recommend that, in addition to direct martial arts, with common sports such as football, volleyball, rugby, badminton… men also need to wear protective gear to protect themselves. protect his “little boy”, avoid unnecessary injuries.
