However, a special lion at a zoo in Guangzhou city, Guangdong province, China attracts tourists for a very different reason.

On May 29, a Weibo user posted a picture of Hang Hang, a lion at Guangzhou Zoo, with straight bangs.

Many people believe that the zookeepers… cut Hang Hang’s hair. But the caretaker has denied this, saying that the high humidity may have caused the lion’s mane to droop.

Immediately after the Weibo user’s post became famous, the official Weibo account of Guangzhou Zoo joined the fun.

The zoo shared a photo of the tourist with the caption: “Even though I changed my hairstyle. I’m still the most handsome guy there. Hurry up and visit me at Guangzhou Zoo.”

The fact that the zoo staff denied cutting Hang Hang’s hair made people even more curious. But despite all the speculation, the zoo still insists… they don’t have that much guts.
