Two children were killed by lightning while sleeping on a shack

Specifically, at 20:30 on May 29, LMQ (born in 2013) and LTL (born in 2019), cousins, living in Sin Chai village, Na Hy commune, Nam Po district, were struck by lightning. beaten to death while sleeping on his grandparents’ shack (one grandchild, one grandchild). The location of this shack is about 6 km from the center of Sin Chai village.

According to Chairman of the People’s Committee of Na Hy commune Nguyen Phu Thiet, after the incident happened, the local government sent officials to the scene to verify and bring the bodies of the two children to the village for the family to take care of the aftermath. Both children’s families are poor households, in which LTL’s parents are divorced.
