“With Russia blockading ports in the Black Sea and occupying much of Ukraine’s lands along the Sea of Azov, we cannot export the 22 million tons of grain that is sitting in warehouses around the country. Russia’s move to block exports is destabilizing the food situation on a global scale, and as a result, making food prices expensive in many countries,” Zelensky added.

“The threat of food shortages will escalate into a new immigration crisis, and Europe as a whole will face many difficulties. At the same time, the failure to export grain will cost Ukraine billions of dollars, which is the amount of money that our economy is in dire need of at the moment,” the Ukrainian president stressed.

According to President.gov.ua, Zelensky also accused Russia of “stealing at least half a million tons of grain from Russia.” Ukraineand was looking for a way to sell it somewhere illegal.”

Russia has not yet commented on Zelensky’s accusations.
