Who is the person who abused a 1-year-old girl in Ho Chi Minh City to death?

On May 31, the Public Security Bureau of Binh Tan District (HCMC) said that it had temporarily detained Hua Thi Kim Trang (born in 2001, born in Soc Trang) to investigate the act of killing a 1-year-old girl.

According to initial information, Trang is the grandson of Ms. SHV (SN 1985, hometown Soc Trang). On the morning of May 27, before going to work, Ms. V. carried her daughter, TNTK (1 year old), to send Trang as usual.

The area where the incident happened

After Ms. V came to the company, Trang gave baby K. porridge, milk and a nap. At about 11:15 a.m. on the same day, Trang called V. to return urgently and said that baby K. had a cough and was vomiting milk.

Ms. V. and Trang took K. to Binh Tan District Hospital for emergency treatment, but he died. An autopsy revealed that the child had suffered multiple abdominal trauma, contusion to the liver, and lung contusion with signs of abuse. Initially, Trang admitted that she used her hands to hit K.’s stomach many times because she was angry about coughing and spitting milk.

Currently, Trang is being detained to determine whether the act is murder or intentionally causing injury leading to death. The Binh Tan District Public Security Bureau is completing the procedures for handing over the files and suspects to the Ho Chi Minh City Police for handling according to their competence.

Binh Tan District People’s Committee organized a delegation to visit and encourage Ms. V’s family.
