A dean of the pharmacy department is suspected of committing suicide at his home “related to Viet A Company”

On June 1, NTTO’s family, Head of Pharmacy Department – Dong Thap General Hospital, reported to the authorities about her death at home suspected of suicide.

Currently, the “heart letter” written by Ms. O. before her death is spreading online with the content related to the purchase of test kit by Viet A Technology Joint Stock Company (referred to as Viet A Company).

Previously, on May 20, the Dong Thap Provincial Police Investigation Agency served the decision to prosecute the accused and the arrest warrant for Tran Van Hai (59 years old), director of the Center for Disease Control and Prevention. (CDC) Dong Thap, to continue investigating violations of regulations on bidding, causing serious consequences.

Also with the above behavior, Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Ngoc (39 years old), Deputy Head of Laboratory – Diagnostic Imaging – Functional Exploration of Dong Thap CDC, was also prosecuted and detained.

According to the conclusion of Dong Thap Provincial Inspector, in the period of 2020 – 2021, units in the province have purchased from Viet A Company through 10 bidding packages, with a contract value of more than 233 billion VND. However, the actual value of these procurement packages is over 197.4 billion VND, has paid Viet A Company nearly 157 billion VND, the rest has not been paid.
