Asian Americans have the longest period of unemployment

Despite having the lowest unemployment rates of any racial or ethnic group in the United States, Asian American workers are still facing the longest period of unemployment, among other challenges.

The median length of unemployment for Asian-American workers during the year was 21.9 weeks, the longest of any racial or ethnic group. In particular, Asian men have an average unemployment period of 26.1 weeks.

According to analysis from the Center for Economic and Policy Research, Asian-Americans and Pacific Islanders also have a hard time getting re-employment after losing their jobs.
