“Currently, we have entered the 2023 Asian Cup finals. Meanwhile, many other teams have to play qualifying rounds to compete for tickets to continue. Therefore, we are fortunate to find an opponent like Afghanistan. In this match, I want to test new players, new tactics,” coach Park Hang-seo said about the friendly match.

Assessing the surface of Thong Nhat Stadium, Mr. Park is quite satisfied. “The surface of the playing field is of good quality. But the drainage system is not good. With the condition of Ho Chi Minh City in this rainy season and the drainage system not being improved, it is difficult to meet the requirements of international matches. We canceled the afternoon practice schedule and went to practice at 10am today because we were afraid it would rain in the afternoon and the yard would be filled with water, making it difficult to practice,” said Coach Park Hang-seo.

According to the schedule, the match between Vietnam and Afghanistan will take place at 7pm on June 1 at Thong Nhat Stadium.
