Customers who buy gasoline can use contactless payment cards

Visa and Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex) have officially launched Visa contactless card payments at petrol stations owned by Petrolimex nationwide.

The implementation of contactless card acceptance at gas stations helps to make payment faster and more secure for customers, reducing waiting time and increasing operational efficiency. Last year, Petrolimex started accepting Visa card payments.

In this project, Petrolimex used a new POS device and installed it at a system of petrol and oil retail stores nationwide, allowing customers to tap to pay with Visa cards. The deployed POS equipment fully meets the requirements of ensuring safety against fire and explosion according to regulations, integrates with the pump column, connects wirelessly (Wi-Fi) to serve customers paying right at the pump pole.

In contactless payments, users can make transactions without giving the card to someone else. This helps prevent card fraud and ensures the safety of customers and petrol station employees from infectious diseases.
