The VETC Automatic Toll Collection Company said it will arrange 200 employees at 15 expressway toll stations to stick cards in the first month. Car owners only need to stop and wait for 2 minutes to complete the procedure of gluing Etag cards and opening a traffic account.

Each toll station has arranged a separate lane for incident handling. Vehicles with card errors will be moved into this lane to assist with re-sticking. In case the vehicle owner has not pasted the card to enter the station, he will be issued a paper ticket, then stop and wait for the card to be pasted behind the station. If the car owner does not want to stick the card, he will be instructed to go out of the highway along the collection road; If you deliberately go on the highway, you will be fined.

Increase the time to practice driving a car on the road

Effective from June 15, Circular 04/2022 of the Ministry of Transport has adjusted the driving practice time in the car driver training program for classes B1, B2 and C.

Accordingly, learners of B1 (automatic transmission) cars will increase their practice on the road from 20 to 24 hours, Class B1 (mechanical cars) and B2 will increase from 36 to 40 hours, and Grade C will increase by 3 hours. up 48 hours. Meanwhile, the number of hours of practice on the training ground in all driving classes decreased, B1 and B2 decreased from 45 to 41 hours. Rank C reduced from 46 to 43 hours.

Issuing ordinary passports online nationwide

The Immigration Department is coordinating with units to deploy the service of issuing ordinary passports (without electronic chips) on the Public Service Portal of the Ministry of Public Security. After 2 weeks of piloting in Hanoi (from May 15), this service will be implemented nationwide from June 1.

Citizens can log in to the Public Service Portal of the Ministry of Public Security to register documents, pay fees online, receive their passports by post or at the immigration authority when the results are available. The policy of reducing passport fees will also be applied until the end of June 30.

June 30 is the deadline to reduce the fee for chip-based citizen identification

According to Circular 120/2021 of the Ministry of Finance on reducing fees, in which the fee for making a chip-based citizen identification will be reduced by 50%. This promotion is only valid until June 30th. After this date, people who go to work for a chip ID will have to pay the same fee.

Specifically, people who change from a 9- and 12-digit identity card to a citizen ID card need to pay VND 30,000/card. People exchange old damaged cards; change information; If there is an error in information, you must pay VND 50,000/card. People who apply for re-issuance of the card when losing or regaining Vietnamese nationality must pay 70,000 VND/card.
