According to statistics of the High School for the Gifted, University of Pedagogy, this year, the total number of candidates registered for the exam is 5,479, of which nearly 2,000 candidates have registered for the English exam, and nearly 1,000 have registered for the Math exam. .. While, the total number of targets of the school this year is only 305.

Due to the large number of contestants, this morning from 6:30 a.m., traffic jams took place outside the school gates. The functional forces work continuously to ensure traffic in front of the exam school gate. This year, to ensure the organization with a large number of candidates, Hanoi National University of Education divided into 5 exam areas according to each specialized block.

From 5:30 a.m. this morning, Bui Dieu Thuy’s mother and daughter (Long Bien district, Hanoi) started from home and traveled more than 25km to get to the exam school.

As a mother, Ms. Thuy said, she is more worried than her children, because this year the number of candidates enrolled in the school has increased significantly. Last year, the total number of candidates registered was 5,095, 400 less than this year.

Her son specializes in English from Hanoi National University of Education. That’s why, she worries more because the ratio of the English major of the school last year was 1 to 30, while this year the number of candidates increased compared to last year.

Ms. Thuy said that, despite being far away, her family also wanted to let her child take the exam to try and practice exam psychology before the exam, which was to enter the 10th grade of a public high school.

“Really taking the experience exam, the psychology is not very stressful, but the public exam to enter the 10th grade is really worried and nervous. I still remember last year, taking my eldest daughter to the 10th grade exam, the pressure was terrible, even the mother lost her limbs. This year, the more I worry, because of the large number of candidates, the high fighting rate, the narrower the opportunity to enter the 10th grade public,” said Thuy.

Although she did not have to move too far, she had a friend to take the exam with, but Ngoc Linh (Thanh Xuan district, Hanoi) still felt “overwhelmed” by the overwhelming number of contestants. “I was mentally prepared, but I was still shaking and nervous when I went to the exam school,” Linh shared.

Linh said that she was nervous because Specialized Teacher Education was the first school to hold the exam, so one of her three aspirations.

The female student enrolled in the Chemistry major, in addition to the High School for the Gifted, she took the entrance exam for the Gifted High School of Natural Sciences and the Hanoi-Amsterdam High School for the Gifted. Linh said that she studied English quite well but was not too confident in Literature.

And Van Huy (Dong Da district, Hanoi) was quite calm. Participating in the English major, Huy shared that he was not overwhelmed by the number of candidates, but was a little worried because “the English subject of the High School for the Gifted at Pedagogy University is often very difficult”.

Huy signed up for a specialized English class at 3 High Schools for the Gifted, University of Education, High School for the Gifted, and Hanoi-Amsterdam High School for the Gifted.

This morning, the candidates will take the first round of Mathematics and Literature exam, with a duration of 90 minutes per subject. In the afternoon, the candidates participated in the specialized exam with a duration of 150 minutes, and only 2 subjects of English and Chemistry in 120 minutes.
