5:30 pm, My sister got off work. When she got home, she took the opportunity to ride a mini bike to the market to buy food for dinner. With a height of more than 1m1, with a mask on his face and the sound of his voice like “not yet reaching puberty”, many vendors in the market thought My was a child. “What do you buy?”, they asked and then were surprised when My introduced herself as 33 years old.
Although my body is small like a 5-6 year old child, My takes care of all the housework in the family. This girl’s small hands can do everything quickly, although the size of the object seems to be too big for her hand.
“If I want to cook rice, I have to stand on a plastic chair. If I carry a large rice cooker, my legs will stagger like a drunk”, My laughs humorously.

While engrossed in cooking in the kitchen, her husband opened the door and walked in. Anh Hung at the age of 34 is only a few centimeters taller than My. The couple both suffer from pituitary dwarfism due to a lack of growth hormone. There was no other way, they had to accept to stop at a height of less than 1.20 m and voice like a child, only their brains developed normally.
Because of his small appearance, Hung and his wife encountered many funny situations. When they first fell in love, the couple often invited each other to the park to sit close to the lake and talk.
Many passersby looked back, finding it strange that there were only two “children” sitting together without parents watching. Some people are concerned, go to remind two “baby” home.
“They thought we were children, so they came to ask. I said I was over 30 years old, but they didn’t believe us. They said: It’s not good for children to lie. At that time, I could only take out my identity documents to prove.
It’s not the first time we’ve been misunderstood. There are times when walking on the street, people see me holding my wife’s hand, thinking it’s a child, so they laugh loudly. Even when I showed my love to my wife with a kiss on the cheek, they also looked at us with unfriendly eyes. Over time, I got used to it, but now I don’t dare to show much affection when I go to crowded places,” Hung said.
With a youthful style, many people think that Hung and his wife are only 5-6 years old.
Even if you go out on the street, you can’t avoid some awkward situations when you go home. Once, Mr. Hung picked up a strange phone call and softly said: “Hello, I’m listening”. The person on the other end of the line thought it was a female voice, so she asked again: “Sister, let me see Mr. Hung”. Although he explained, they still doubted “Is it real Hung”.
His wife has also faced the same situation many times. Once, My sister bought goods online, the shop owner called her but kept asking again and again: “Where is your mother?”.
“Little Teacher”
Seeing the passionate love of Mr. Hung for his wife in the present, few expected him to have actively “ignored” Ms. My. That was when the two first met in 2016.
At that time, Diem My was still living with her family in Ninh Thuan. The part-time job only brought her an income of just over 1 million. Though worried about the future, My has no other way to make money.
Once, when I saw Mr. Hung on TV, My sister seemed to have found an ideal model. She then went online to find his Facebook and Zalo accounts to make friends and share her story.
Seeing someone in difficulty, Mr. Hung tried to help.” I introduced My to the Will to Live Center (education center for people with disabilities), where I am working and teaching about informatics. There was a free photo editing class on Photoshop, which seemed suitable for My. At that time, I thought I was helping My like helping others, “said Mr. Hung.
Anh Hung is currently a collaborator in teaching informatics to people with disabilities at the Will to Live Center (Hanoi).
With the “tiny teacher” wholeheartedly helping, My developed feelings and grew to love this energetic and talented boy. She decided to leave her hometown to Hanoi to study. At first, she was not used to it, so she was shy and rarely spoke. After that, My boldly texted Hung to express his feelings.
Before the confessions, Hung said he only considered My as other friends, he did not even reply to My messages. Before the “ignorance” of the person she liked, My did not give up, still persisted in texting back.
Six months later, the two met at the Will to Live Center, Hung actively talked with My more, and understood the other more. At that time, he began to like her and gradually reciprocated this feeling. Unable to contain her happiness, My sister had to confess: “I feel very lucky because I have you, I have been able to do things that I thought I could never do.”
Thought the love path from here was no longer difficult, but unexpectedly, Hung encountered the opposition of his family. “When I fell in love, it was okay, but when I mentioned marriage, my parents disagreed. They wanted me to marry a stronger person to take good care of my family. Moreover, My is a Catholic, My parents are afraid that I have a different religion and it’s difficult to live, so they don’t agree to get married,” Hung said and said he had to try to convince his family.
The rain soaked for a long time, his parents also had to approve. In November 2019, the tiny couple held a wedding ceremony. Both of them later settled in Hanoi. He resigned from his position as a computer teacher at the Will to Live Center, only working as a collaborator to have time to do Youtube and online business. My sister also has her own job, working as a photo editor for a real estate company.

Buy a house in Hanoi, live happily even without children
Since getting married, Hung built a Youtube and Facebook channel “Tiny Teacher” to share about his daily life, unexpectedly attracting many people’s attention. Although only operating for more than 2 years, the YouTube channel has nearly 600,000 followers and tens and hundreds of thousands of views on each video.
“At first I thought I was just posting for fun, but in a short time, I received a lot of views, then I discussed with my wife to build a brand. From everyone’s interest, my business. It’s also better, life is also very good now,” shared the tiny husband.
After more than 2 years since getting married, Mr. Hung and his wife bought a separate apartment in Hoang Mai district (Hanoi). “Many years of accumulating and borrowing more from friends, we also bought an apartment of 74 m2. After buying, we had to repair a little to fit the height of two people, so it also cost quite a bit more. It is the result, also the motivation for me and my husband to try every day”, the couple confided.
Currently, every free time, the two go online to live stream singing and chatting with their loved ones. Sometimes, Hung and his wife invite each other to travel and experience interesting places.
The couple share a common interest in traveling and exploring.
Although life no longer has to worry about the economy, he and his wife still “have something to worry about” about children. The sequelae of pituitary dwarfism make it impossible for you to have children.
“My husband and I always go for regular health check-ups, every time we come in, the couple laughs. The doctors said the ultrasound didn’t come out, we couldn’t see the ovaries. The doctor said if detected early, from about approx. At the age of ten, after taking hormone injections, I can develop normally, I can have children. But at this age, there is no other way, I have to accept it”, Ms. My confided.
Hung also researched a lot online, met experts to listen to advice, knew the results had not changed, so “no need to think or regret”.
Although the house of Hung and his wife is empty of the crying and laughter of children, the couple “tiny teacher” still feels happy and appreciates what they have at the moment.
