According to Mr. Van Tran Hoan, Chairman Hai Phong Club, the initiator and organizer of the Four Heroes Cup, this is a very quality friendly tournament with the participation of former V-League kings such as Hanoi FC, Viettel FC; HAGL Club, the leading team of the V-League 2021 until the tournament is canceled, and Hai Phong Club, the team that is leading the V-League 2022.

The Four Heroes Cup will take place at Lach Tray Stadium from June 4 to 8 in a round-robin format.

Sharing at the press conference, coach Chu Dinh Nghiem of Hai Phong Club highly appreciated the role of the Four Heroes Cup: “The tournament features the three strongest teams in Vietnam at the moment. That’s good for a Hai Phong club. Our young room. We will learn a lot from strong teams.” Coach Truong Viet Hoang and coach Chun Jae-ho of Hanoi FC, is sure that the tournament will bring beautiful matches full of dedication.

At the press conference, Doan Van Hau honestly shared: “Hau’s injury has made a lot of progress. However, Hau still needs more time to recover, so he will not play in the Four Heroes Cup. However, the Joining the team is also good for Hau’s recovery. Hopefully, Hau can come back after this tournament.”

In August 2021, Doan Van Hau was injured while with the Vietnamese team preparing for the tournament 2022 World Cup qualifiers. Doan Van Hau then went to Korea for surgery. Since then, Vietnam’s No. 1 left-back has not been able to return to play and has missed the campaign SEA Games 31.
