Recruiting U.23 and recruiting Vietnamese women to receive the Third Class Labor Medal

To summarize and evaluate the preparation and organization SEA Games 31 and commending and rewarding athletes with excellent achievements at SEA Games 31, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism held a ceremony to summarize and reward SEA Games 31. The event took place at the International Convention Center, No. 11 Le Hong Phong, Hanoi, at 5:00 p.m. on June 1.

Vietnam U.23 team receives gold medal at SEA Games 31 NGOC DUONG

May 31st, President Nguyen Xuan Phuc signed the decision to award the second-class Labor Medal to the following 4 athletes: Swimmer Nguyen Huy Hoang, born in 2000, won 5 gold medals in swimming (in which 4 gold medals in individual events: 400 m freestyle, 1,500 m freestyle. do, 800 m freestyle, 200 m butterfly and 1 gold medal in the men’s 4×200 m freestyle relay), breaking two SEA Games records in the 400 m freestyle and the men’s 4×200 m freestyle relay. Track and field athlete Nguyen Thi Oanh, won 3 gold medals in 3 events of 1,500 m, 5,000 m and 3,000 m over obstacles, breaking a SEA Games record in the 3,000 m obstacle course. Swimmer Tran Hung Nguyen won gold in the men’s 200 m medley, men’s 400 m medley, 4×200 m freestyle and especially in the men’s 200 m backstroke. It is considered a surprise of Vietnamese swimming at the 31st SEA Games. Athlete Nguyen Thi Huong, born in 2001, won 5 gold medals, including 3 individual gold medals and 2 team gold medals in canoeing.

The President also signed the decision to award Third Class Labor Medal for 19 individuals, including: athletes Le Hoang Phong (aerobic), Tran Ngoc Thuy Vi (aerobic); Hoang Quy Phuoc, Nguyen Huu Kim Son, Pham Thanh Bao (swimming); Truong Thi Phuong (canoe racing); Lo Thi Hoang (athletics); Nguyen Thi Huyen, Quach Thi Lan, Nguyen Van Lai (athletics); Dang Thu Huong, Nguyen Doan Minh Truong (dance sports); Nguyen Thanh Loc (diving); Dinh Thi Hao, Pham Thi Hue, Pham Thi Thao (rowing boat race); Dinh Phuong Thanh (gymnastics); Lai Gia Thanh (weightlifting).

The State President signed the decision to award the Third Class Labor Medal to the team Vietnamese women’s football and the Vietnam U.23 team for their outstanding achievements, winning the 31st SEA Games gold medal.

Also at the commendation ceremony, 305 athletes won gold medals at SEA Games 31 will receive the Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister.
