Start issuing universal passports through the National Public Service Portal

With this new service, Vietnamese citizens in the country have a valid citizen ID with an electronic chip or a valid 12-digit citizen ID, and at the same time have the ability to pay online fees via electronic payment system, you can log in to the National Public Service Portal or the Ministry of Public Security’s Public Service Portal to register documents, pay fees online, receive passports by post or come to receive the results directly at the immigration authority when the results are available.

From June 1, 2022, people can apply for a passport online display

The process includes the following steps:

– Citizens access to National Public Service Portal or the Public Service Portal of the Ministry of Public Security.

– Proceed to log in to the National Public Service account, fill in the passport application information according to form X01, email address and upload a portrait photo.

– Choose the form and address to receive the passport (via postal service or receive it directly at the immigration office) and pay the fee online when requested by the application-receiving officer.

For citizens who are not eligible to use level 4 public services or wish to apply directly, the current process of registration, receipt and processing of passport applications will apply.

With the implementation of passport issuance through the Level 4 Public Service Portal, citizens can proactively declare their passport application declaration forms via the Internet at any time, at any place, by connected means.
