The cars of the Sultan of Brunei have never appeared in public

The Sultan of Brunei’s car collection is one of the largest in the world. The Sultan of Brunei’s favorite brands include Rolls-Royce, Ferrari, Bentley and Aston Martin.

Many of these cars are special editions created specifically for this king. They were made in secret, shipped to Brunei and still in the collection of the Sultan of Brunei, very few visitors have the chance to see them.

Bentley Dominator

Many people think that Bentley’s first SUV was the Bentayga, but in fact one was produced decades ago. Dominator was specially produced with 6 pieces for the Sultan of Brunei and his family. Each one costs $4.6 million.

Not much is known about the car’s specifications, but it is thought that the Dominator “borrows” a lot from the Range Rover of the time. Under the hood is Bentley’s 6.7-liter V8 or Land Rover’s 3.9-liter V8, but which one has yet to be confirmed.

Ferrari F50 Bolide

This special edition F50 is so rare that only a few photographs of it are known to exist. The story goes that the Sultan of Brunei wanted a unique supercar based on Ferrari’s already rare F50. However, instead of relying on the frame of a standard F50, Bolide used the frame of an F1 car.

The car is said to have an all-carbon fiber chassis and a 12-cylinder engine. In addition, almost nothing is known about the car.

BMW Nazca M12

First introduced by BMW as a concept car, the Nazca M12 is arguably the closest BMW has ever had to being the true successor to the M1. The car uses the same V12 engine as the 850i of the same time, for a capacity of about 300 horsepower.

The original concept car is still owned by BMW, but reports claim that the Sultan of Brunei paid an undisclosed amount to build a second version just for him.

Only one alleged photo of this second M12 exists, but if it is, it’s the only privately owned M12 in the world.

Aston Martin AM3

The AM3 is an anomaly for Aston Martin, as it has been modified by Pininfarina in Italy. The car possesses a design that is significantly different from other cars of the company at the same time. It is based on the Vantage chassis and powered by Aston’s 5.3-liter V8 engine, but the exact output is unknown.

No Aston Martin AM3 has ever appeared in public. Photos of this model were taken in or around Pininfarina’s factory in Turin, Italy. These cars are thought to still be in the warehouse of the Sultan of Brunei, probably never driven.

Bentley Buccaneer

The Sultan of Brunei’s collection is so large that he may not remember all the cars he bought, but Buccaneer is said to be one of his favourites.

Not much is known about the car’s specifications, but it is said to have an engine taken from the Continental R of the time. 6 units were produced in black, red and silver colors.

Leblanc Mirabeau

Swiss automaker Leblanc was once a big name in the world of performance cars. However, after a failed US market launch, they ran out of money and disappeared. They used to have some very rare Mirabeau models for the Sultan of Brunei.

Like many other confidential transactions, it is unclear exactly how many cars were purchased. There is information that the car shares a V8 engine with the Koenigsegg CCR, so the speed is very fast. None of the Mirabeaus of the Sultan of Brunei have ever been seen in public.
