The new generation Mercedes-AMG GT has been tested on the street
Mercedes-AMG GT 2023 is in the testing phase and comes with many new upgrades.
The Mercedes-AMG product line is increasingly diverse, of which the most interesting and attractive is the GT supercar. First introduced in 2014, GT focuses on performance, a direction that has been maintained until the new version is in the process of testing.
As can be seen in the image, the Mercedes-AMG GT 2023 has redesigned headlights, thinner taillights and compared to the convertible version. GT also has flatter door handles, lightweight wheels with high-performance brakes. At the rear, the air diffuser system includes 4 exhaust pipes and a rear spoiler.
There are no recorded images of the GT 2023 interior, but it is expected to be heavily influenced by its brother SL. This means users can expect a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, an infotainment system with a vertically mounted 11.9-inch screen, and the ability to tilt from 12 to 32 degrees. However, the new GT won’t be able to have the SL’s 2+2 seating configuration instead offering only 2 seats.
The Mercedes-AMG GT 2023 is expected to be equipped with a 4.0L twin-turbo V8 petrol engine, for a capacity of 469 horsepower and 699 Nm of torque. And the engine option for a capacity of 577 hp and 799 Nm of torque. Comes with can be a 9-speed automatic transmission and AMG Performance 4MATIC + all-wheel drive system.
The paparazzi also spotted a plug-in hybrid variant of the Mercedes-AMG GT. This “hybrid” car is said to own a V8 engine combined with an electric motor located behind and a 6.1 kWh battery pack. The whole system gives a total capacity of 831 horsepower and more than 1,400 Nm of torque.
