Ukraine revealed the number of soldiers killed and wounded, denying fear of an attack on Russian territory

“The Situation in the East Ukraine very difficult” – President Zelensky emphasized and revealed – “We are losing 60-100 soldiers and about 500 wounded every day in the fighting”.

The above information was revealed by the head of Ukraine in an interview with the channel Newsmax on June 1 and was informed by the news agency TASS of Russia cited.

Although acknowledging difficulties, President Zelensky stated that the Ukrainian armed forces were still “holding the lines” in the east and “counterattacking, pressing” in the Kharkov region, according to TASS.

Russian President Vladimir Putin launched a special military operation against neighboring Ukraine on February 24. The war in Ukraine has entered the 97th day but has not shown any signs of abating.

In that context, a US official on May 31 announced that the country will transfer to Ukraine M142 HIMARS medium-range rocket launchers. This complex has a range of 70-80 km when using normal ammunition and up to 300 km when using missiles. The official confirmed that the M142 HIMARS complexes will not be used to attack Russian territory.

Also in the interview with NewsmaxPresident Zelensky dismissed concerns that the Ukrainian military will use long-range rocket artillery systems to attack Russian territory.

“I know that in the US or someone in the White House is concerned that we could use the long-range rocket system provided by the US to attack Russia” – TASS Zelensky quoted Zelensky as emphasizing – “We are not interested in Russia, we are not fighting on their territory. There is a war going on on our territory. We want to relieve the siege of the cities, so we I need ammunition that can hit a target 100 kilometers away.”
