Cement production from food waste

As an important construction material, the production of cement produces gases that are harmful to the environment. Now, Japanese researchers have found a way to make cement from food waste, according to research by scientists from the University of Tokyo.

Cement from food waste can be reused and is biodegradable, so it can be landfilled when it is no longer needed. However, the new material still has problems to overcome such as waterproofing, insect attraction.

The “alternative cement” project can be a useful solution, creating environmentally friendly building materials.
