My wife and I think about buying a car after the Lunar New Year to serve our daily needs to cover the rain and sun and sometimes go out. Financially VND 500 million, I consider an old B-class car, including Honda City and Hyundai Accent, or a new A-class car, a VinFast Fadil. However, the psychology of buying a car for the first time, I myself do not know much about vehicles, do not have experience in checking cars, afraid of buying a car that will crash or flood, so the final decision is VinFast Fadil.
The original plan was to buy at the end of the year, so I did not pay attention or learn about the registration tax and other taxes on cars. In April, I started joining automobile groups on social networks and saw sales consultants posting ads to “run” registration tax. At that time, I only noticed this tax fee.

I want to buy the Standard version because it suits my needs, the price is about 370 million VND, registered in Nam Dinh. But the sales consultant said there was only one Fadil in the standard blue version. I hesitated because this color is not suitable for both fate and aesthetic of the couple.
The next day, I went to groups to post to buy Fadil Standard red in time to “run tax”, but dealers in Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong and Western provinces all reported out of cars. I even contacted a sales consultant in Quang Tri, accepting to pay 6 million VND to transport the car to Ho Chi Minh City. But when I called to make a deposit, this friend “up sale” the Advanced version, so I didn’t order the car there anymore. Because if you buy the Advanced version, there is no need to work so hard.

On May 24, I stood between two options. One is to get the Standard version in blue for gluing other colors and adding toys, the other is to get the Advanced version in white and red, according to the HCMC sales consultant. But the next morning, on May 25, the sales consultant reported that the Fadil Standard version had already been purchased. I immediately asked a few other dealers, but they all reported the Standard version. At this point, the only option is the Advanced version, so I decided to buy it and choose the red color. At noon on May 25, the newspaper sales consultant had a frame number to pay registration tax. I breathed a sigh of relief, because I finally “run taxes” successfully. On May 26, I made a deposit.

When I knew there was a 50% discount on the registration fee, I sat down to try it out. For example, the current price of VinFast Fadil Advanced version is 364.1 million VND, registering in Nam Dinh will save more than 18 million VND. If you can “run tax” in time, just leave the car in one place, every month assuming that the parking fee is 1.5 million dong, from now until the end of the year, the parking fee will only be 7-8 million dong. So let’s say I still save about 10 million VND but have a car to go.

In case I can’t “run” in time, I will postpone the need to buy a car until the end of the year as originally planned. That is, the demand is there, but not to such an urgent extent. In general, the 50% registration fee discount affects a relatively large part of the car buying decision this time.

Not really, because buying the Advanced version doesn’t have a car right away, which means we have to wait a little longer. Deposit to buy a car but actually arrange the chassis number. Up to now, there is still no car to go to “press” the number plate and the sales consultant has not yet scheduled a delivery date. They just promise to try to deliver the car as soon as possible. But that’s temporary satisfaction. Just tired at the color selection stage and had to upgrade to the Advanced version.
But in calculation, I bought the Advanced version, then I don’t have to spend money on the toy anymore, but I still keep the “zin”. This is also not unexpected, because the price is still reasonable and the car meets the needs.
