Hot: The Minister of Defense of Ukraine announced “good news” from the US and Poland

According to Reznikov, bloody battles are ongoing in eastern Ukraine and the country lacks heavy weapons.

On his Facebook page, Mr. Reznikov wrote: “Yesterday I had a very productive conversation with US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin III – a great friend of Ukraine.

We expect a new set of good news in the near future, thanks to the outstanding leadership of the United States in supporting Ukraine in its fight against Russia.”

Minister Reznikov added that Ukraine is also expecting good news from Poland: “Our Defense Ministry delegation is completing its work in Poland. Details will be announced soon.”

According to Defense Minister Reznikov, Ukraine has entered a critical phase of the war: “Very bloody battles are continuing in the east. We do not have enough heavy weapons to repel the enemy.”

On June 1, it was reported that the US had approved a new $700 million security aid package for Ukraine.

This new package will include the M142 High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS), as confirmed in an official statement by President Joe Biden.

The two countries signed a memorandum of understanding on the creation of a Ukraine-Polish commission that will prepare recommendations regarding the best form of establishing joint production of weapons and military equipment.

Mr. Reznikov also mentioned those who are pressuring Ukraine to make territorial concessions to temporarily appease Moscow.

Mr. Reznikov said: “The Ukrainian government and the people of Ukraine will not take such steps. If anyone believes that this will end the war, they will get the opposite result. War will come directly. The border of NATO and the EU Kremlin-controlled propagandists have made it clear that it is time for Russia to ‘demilitarize’ not only Ukraine, but all of NATO, which means the security of the whole world. There will be millions of refugees and Europe will suffer hundreds of billions of euros in losses.”
