With a little trick with the Shortcuts app, you can lock all the apps you want with Face ID.

The most annoying thing about lending your phone to others is that they are curious to access your private applications. It is possible that some applications will have built-in password protection or biometric authentication, but there are also many applications that do not have any security measures at all, leaving your data very exposed.

Return to the main screen, open the Shortcuts application, select the tab Automation. Click the button with the “+” sign located in the upper right corner of the interface, select Create Personal Automation.

Create a personal automator in the Shortcuts app.

Find the App line and open it, then click Choose to select the apps you want to lock with Face ID, then click Done. In the action menu below you choose Is Open. When done, click Next.

Choose which apps need to be protected with Face ID.

Click Add Action, type Clock in the search bar. In the results that appear, select the line Start Timer.

Next, click on the Minutes box (Minutes) and change it to Seconds (Seconds), in the number input box next to you enter the value 1. When done, click Next.

At this step, turn off the Ask Before Running option. In the warning dialog box that appears, click Don’t Ask. Finally, click Done.

Assign a timer action to the app that needs to be secured.

From now on, every time you open the applications that you have set up security above, after 1 second the phone will automatically lock the screen. If you are the one using the phone, it will not be a problem, because the biometric sensor will recognize your Face ID, otherwise strangers accessing the application will not be able to continue using it because the phone phone is locked.
