Launching a technology center and digital transformation solutions in education

EdTech Center with an open operating model, encourages scientists and experts to conduct research and applications in the field of digital transformation of education.

On the morning of June 1, Hanoi University of Science and Technology launched the EdTech Center for Digital Transformation Technology and Solutions in Education. EdTech Center was established in the model of a mixed international research center, led by Hanoi University of Science and Technology and Sun*Inc. (Japan) jointly invest in construction and operation.

The Center is a place to connect research, development and application groups on educational digital transformation within the University with facilities outside the school, to conduct research, training, and technology transfer.

Assoc. Prof. Huynh Quyet Thang, Rector of Hanoi University of Science and Technology, said that the establishment of the Center for Technology and Digital Transformation in Edtech Education demonstrates the school’s determination in digital transformation in education.

He said that the school has had digital transformation programs and products for teaching and learning management at the school, such as the eHUST system.

According to Dr Pham Huy Hoang, Director of the EdTech Center, the Center will provide cutting-edge technologies, solutions and products available for higher and postgraduate education in the future. The initial products that have been deployed are the eHUST online education management system and the daotao.ai MOOC system, which have been tested by the masses to raise awareness about education in the digital space.

The center’s systems will continue to research and develop more items such as learner behavior recognition, AI-based test takers with video streams, modules to support online exams with automatic supervision, and applications. applying virtual reality technologies to subjects that need 3D visual interaction, advising learners based on big data analysis…

The Center has four missions: One is research and development in the field of digital transformation in education, focusing on large-scale online training (MOOC) and university administration systems (Education ERP). ), in which especially the application of advanced technologies in data science and artificial intelligence.

The second is based on test models of digital transformation platforms to conduct consulting, implementation and application.

Third is the organization of training and development of scientific and technological capacity, in order to provide highly qualified human resources.

Fourthly, expanding cooperation with research institutions inside and outside the university, international cooperation, receiving, mastering, and transferring digital transformation technology in education.
