Urgently receive and deploy vaccination for the number of Covid-19 vaccines distributed in phases 146 and 147 in Decision No.743/QD-VSDTTU dated May 16, 2022, to ensure effective use of vaccines.
Continue to review the subjects, focus on promoting the 3rd injection for people aged 18 years and over to complete in the second quarter of 2022 under the direction of the Prime Minister in Notice No. 114/TB-VPCP dated 15/15/ 4/2022 and injection for children from 5 – under 12 years old.
Develop a plan and organize the 4th dose vaccination for those who need to be vaccinated against Covid-19 according to the guidance of the Ministry of Health in Official Dispatch No. 2357/BYT-DP dated May 9, 2022.
Further strengthen communication so that people understand, agree and go for the next vaccinations (shot 3, dose 4) in a timely and complete manner.
“If a locality does not receive enough Covid-19 vaccine to use for injections of 3rd and 4th doses for people 18 years of age or older, for children from 5 to under 12 years old, and do not review enough subjects who are required to be vaccinated, In order for an epidemic to occur locally, it is necessary to take full responsibility before the Government and the Prime Minister”, emphasized the Ministry of Health.
More than 221 million doses of Covid-19 vaccine have been injected
According to statistics of the Ministry of Health, as of May 31, the total number of doses of the Covid-19 vaccine that has been administered is 221,161,159 doses, of which the number of doses administered to people aged 18 years and over is 199,326,858 doses: 1st dose is 71,474,114 doses; The second dose is 68,785,382 doses; The third dose is 1,507,014 doses; The additional dose was 15,054,707 doses; The first booster dose is 42,265,529 doses; The second booster dose is 240,112 doses.
Number of injections for children aged 12-17 is 17,469,934 doses: 1st dose is 8,939,027 doses; The second dose is 8,530,907 doses.
Number of doses for children from 5 to under 12 years old is 4,364,367 doses: 1st dose is 4,013,787 doses; The second dose is 350,580 doses.
Over the past time, the Ministry of Health has continuously issued documents to request localities to step up and strengthen Covid-19 vaccination work, ensuring the injection schedule.
