An alligator of great size, nicknamed Marty, for some unknown reason sneaked into the racetrack. It slowly crossed the road, while a horse was running a few meters away. The horse gets excited and starts running around the rider.

Joe Allen shared with the joking caption: “It’s Marty’s world. We just live in it.”
Horse racing fans were quick to comment on Marty’s appearance on the track.

“Alligators just want to walk in the yard”, “If you’ve ever been to Delta Downs, you know it’s a fairly frequent occurrence”, “Consequences of having too many lagoons around” … fans horse racing comment.

Experts believe that large predators such as crocodiles are attracted to the area because of the dams located around the racecourse.

Previously, several races at the Delta Downs racetrack in southwestern Louisiana had to be postponed due to the appearance of an alligator on the track.

Locals say the track is home to three crocodiles, which first appeared in the area in 2010.

Louisiana is home to about 2 million alligators and once had the largest individual in the United States, about 5.84 meters long. In some areas of the US, crocodiles also like to appear on golf courses, they often scare players when boldly walking around.
