With the desire that students can buy textbooks at the lowest price, from a management and professional perspective, the Ministry of Education and Training has repeatedly directed publishers to strictly implement measures to publish books so that books can be used by students. Many times, the new books published under the 2018 general education program have fully accomplished this.

On the other hand, according to Circular 33 and Circular 05, the structure and content of textbooks must be consistent with textbook standards on publications. In the process of book appraisal, the appraisal councils ask groups of authors to adjust sections that are too long, abuse images, etc.

“Currently, the Ministry of Education and Training is directing the preparation of a circular stipulating specific criteria and standards for textbooks to regulate this in a more specific and effective way.” Minister Nguyen Kim Son said.
