What’s remarkable about the iOS 16 update?

Apple will host the 33rd Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) on June 6-10. As is customary, the Cupertino giant will release a test version of iOS 16 for developers a few hours after introducing the update at the event.

By July, the public beta of iOS 16 for all iPhone users will be rolling out. Meanwhile, the official update will most likely be released with the iPhone 14, which is expected to launch in September.

According to Bloomberg, the interface of iOS 16 will not change much compared to the current version. Since the change when launching iOS 7 up to now, Apple has almost rarely refreshed the interface of this operating system. However, the iOS 16 update will make up for it with the addition of some new ways to interact with the system and new apps from Apple.

iOS users have long wanted Apple to integrate interactive widgets. However, after doing this on two versions of iOS 14 and iOS 15, Apple has almost no changes to these utilities. Therefore, some experts expect, significant changes related to widgets will appear on iOS 16.

Many leaked sources said that iOS 16 will likely support many new features related to AR and VR. This is considered a stepping stone for Apple to prepare to launch its first virtual reality glasses later this year.

In addition, iOS 16 is also expected to support many new functions for the messaging application, focusing on features related to audio messages.

According to iPhoneSoft, most likely iOS 16 will only support devices from iPhone 7 and above. As such, the first-generation iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus and iPhone SE may no longer be supported for updates. This is not surprising because these are all very old devices from 2015 – 2016.
