Due to back pain after surgery, the patient shot and killed the surgeon and 3 others

In a press conference on June 3 (Vietnam time), Tulsa police said that the gunman, Michael Louis, 45 years old, from Muskogee city (Oklahoma), repeatedly called the surgeon’s office for him. I am Mr. Preston Phillips to complain of back pain after surgery, AP reported.

The results of the investigation show that a few hours before the murderous shooting at the Saint Francis Medical System hospital campus on June 1, Louis bought a semi-automatic rifle AR. Next, he brought a letter with the content that would kill Dr. Phillips and anyone who stood in his way. The attacker blamed the doctor for causing him to still suffer from severe back pain after the surgery.

In addition to Dr. Preston Phillips, the other victims are Dr. Stephanie Husen, receptionist Amanda Glenn and a person named William Love, according to the AP citing police information.

Police said Dr Phillips performed the surgery on May 19 and the suspect was discharged on May 24.

Louis then made several phone calls to the doctor’s office within a few days, saying he still had back pain. On May 31, this person came to the office for further treatment by Dr. Phillips. The next day, the gunman continued to call complaining of back pain and wanted to be continued by the doctor. In the afternoon of the same day, he bought a gun through a legal channel, brought the gun to the office and shot and killed the doctor and those present there.

The other two victims are 48-year-old doctor Husen and 40-year-old receptionist Glenn.

Victim Love, 73 years old, is a retired soldier. He used to be a patient of this hospital, but that day he went with his wife Deborah to check health at the hospital.

According to police, Mr. Love held the door tightly in the hope of buying time for others to escape. Then he was shot dead.

The Tulsa shooting is the latest in a series of events mass shootings in the US recent incident, including the elementary school attack in Uvalde (Texas state), the supermarket attack in Buffalo (New York).
