Recently, on May 31, Mr. Pascal Soriot visited Vietnam at the invitation of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.

At the meeting, the Prime Minister said that the achievements in COVID-19 prevention and control have had practical contributions from many countries and organizations, including AstraZeneca Group. AstraZeneca not only provides early and timely vaccines but also sells COVID-19 vaccines at reasonable prices to Vietnam.

In the coming time, AstraZeneca and the Government of Vietnam will cooperate strategically and comprehensively to improve the quality of health care and develop sustainable healthcare, for the benefit of the people.

Since joining AstraZeneca about 10 years ago, Mr. Pascal has transformed the company into a leading scientific group in the world, continuously launching innovative drugs, expanding its global presence and establishing new brands. research and development facilities in many countries.

AstraZeneca also has a pivotal role in the global response to COVID-19. To date, 3 billion doses of AstraZeneca’s vaccine have been delivered to more than 180 countries. Nearly two-thirds of these vaccines go to low- and middle-income countries.

Right from the beginning, the group decided to provide vaccines on a non-profit model, and most of the company’s COVID-19 vaccines have been sold at the original price so far.
