Improving the quality of preschool education universalization for 5-year-old children
On June 2, Deputy Minister of Education and Training (Education and Training) Ngo Thi Minh chaired a meeting of the Drafting Board and Editorial Team of the Project on Universalization of Preschool Education for Kindergarten Children (3-4 years old). and improve the quality of preschool education universalization for 5-year-old children in the period of 2022-2030.
Talking about the draft Project, Director of the Department of Early Childhood Education Nguyen Ba Minh said: The draft scheme has comprehensively reflected the picture of preschool education in the period 2016-2021. Accordingly, the number of preschool children increased by 1.7 million, the whole country has 5579 preschools with nearly 72 thousand classrooms. Basically, the number of children mobilized to class has met the demand. The challenge is that when developing the Scheme, the medium-term budget has run out and there is no additional budget. Therefore, the proposed solution is to effectively exploit programs, schemes and projects related to this scheme.
Along with that, the draft also sets out specific tasks to implement universalization of preschool education for preschool children (3-4 years old) and improve the quality of preschool education universalization for 5-year-old children. in the period of 2022-2030 such as: adding more teachers, investing in building facilities, schools and classrooms. In order to increase the facilities and schools to meet standards, it is necessary to focus on mobilizing social resources, taking advantage of approved programs and projects, associated with the National Target Program on building a new rural area.
According to Director General Nguyen Ba Minh, after receiving comments from members of the Drafting Committee from the previous meeting, the Project’s editorial team edited and added the following contents: Clarifying the legal basis contained in Law on Education and Law on Children; The actual situation of developing and promulgating documents has been supplemented to synthesize groups of mechanisms and policies, and has added analysis of each policy group. Specifically, rewritten at the request of the drafting committee, ensuring the coherence of the text.
Concluding at the meeting, Deputy Minister Ngo Thi Minh acknowledged the efforts of the editorial team to absorb, explain and submit to the Drafting Board for comments. The Deputy Minister emphasized that the Scheme must assess the situation fully and in detail, propose appropriate solutions for the drafting committee to complete, when submitting it to the National Assembly Standing Committee for comments.
Deputy Minister Ngo Thi Minh said that in order to successfully implement the project, it is necessary to integrate approved programs and projects. Therefore, it is necessary to carefully review programs, schemes and projects related to supporting the development of preschool education to show in the Scheme.
