Japan promotes digitization and dissemination of high-speed 5G mobile network

According to the announcement of the Japanese Government, the focus of the “Digital Nation, Cities and Rural areas” initiative will be on training human resources in charge of promoting the digitization and dissemination of high-speed 5G mobile networks. . Specifically, the Japanese government aims to train a workforce of 2.3 million people to take charge of promoting digitization by 2026, bringing the ratio of 5G mobile network coverage to 95% of the total population from 30% to 95%. this year and reach 99% in 2030. Along with that, Japan built about 10 data centers, bringing the number of localities applying digital to 1,000 localities by 2024, nearly 3 times higher than currently now.

In the plan to popularize 5G mobile networks, the Japanese Government has decided to subsidize and reduce taxes for businesses investing in the development of related technologies.

With this initiative, the field of digitization will be implemented equally in both urban and rural areas, creating a balance in development between the two areas, thereby ensuring that all people in Japan will have a benefit from digitization.
