Nadal 7-6, *4-5 (set 2) Zverev: Continuously losing break

Zverev won the serve game to put the first set into the tie-break series. In this series, Nadal had the first mini-break to lead 2-1. But then, “King of Clay” missed, so Zverev equalized the score 2-2.

Nadal continued to lose mini-break when he could not neutralize the opponent’s passing. Zverev then pressed the attack well and led 4-2.

Zverev’s overwhelming tie-break series was followed by two subsequent points, both from powerful attacks. Zverev leads 6-2.

Nadal saved two consecutive set-points, before shortening the score to 5-6 thanks to an extraordinary passing. Unbelievable effort helped Nadal save the fourth set-point from a ball being pushed into a difficult position.

A forehand winner along the string gave Nadal a fifth straight point and a 7-6 lead. Zverev then saved the fourth set-point, but lost the mini-break and was 7-8 behind.

In the fifth set-point, Nadal missed after an outhand backhand. But the Spaniard won the next two points, including a passing shot to win the tie-break series with a score of 10-8.

The 93-minute set ended with a 7-6 victory for Nadal.
