4 mistakes should not be made in life

Everyone can make mistakes in life. There are mistakes that can be corrected, there are mistakes that only leave regret.

Compare yourself to others

“When we always compare ourselves to others, we take away our own happiness, whether inferior or superior,” psychologist Dr. Robert Puff (USA) once said.

According to this doctor, comparing yourself to others only makes the mind more uncomfortable and confused. This thought process only harms and wastes your energy.

Modern life makes comparison inevitable because social media allows us to constantly “access each other’s lives”. At any given moment, we can all turn on our phones, look at a slice of someone else’s life, and think, “Why don’t I do what she’s doing?” or “I’m much better than him”.

The Chinese have a fable about a man fishing by the river. He caught a lot of fish, but every time he caught a fish, he used a ruler to measure it. If the fish is longer than a ruler, he throws it into the river. Others were surprised, so they asked: “People can’t catch big fish, why did you throw all the big fish into the river?” The man gently replied, “Since my pan is only about the length of a ruler, the fish is too big to fit in the pan”.

In fact, don’t let endless desires take over your heart. “Just enough” is also a good life attitude. Whether people’s lives are painful or happy, if they know enough and know how to appreciate what they have, all that they feel about life every day is beautiful.

2. Kindness Comes With Low EQ

American writer Mark Twain once said, “Kindness is a language that the blind can perceive and the deaf hear.”

Some people clearly want to help others in good faith but use the wrong methods. Their actions not only do not help the other person, but also cause awkward situations, embarrassing others. Everyone has self-esteem and face, maybe you think your kindness is normal but the other person doesn’t think the same. Therefore, even if you have a kind heart, you should show it at the right time, with the right person and with the right method, otherwise it will be counterproductive.

Philosopher Bertrand Russell also said, “If kindness is without reason, it is just meaningless kindness.” There are many people who have made this mistake, do not understand anything about the matter, only see one side, understand shallowly, do not know how to solve, speak and follow emotions but are very enthusiastic, not only do not solve problems for others. We can but also make things more complicated. So, even if you want to help someone, but things are beyond understanding, be careful not to turn yourself into a saboteur.

3. Meaningless regrets

Failure to set a new goal but always regretting the things you missed in the past will make you unable to be happy, because you have not taken the time to enjoy the good things in the present.

Regret cannot make up for and correct the mistakes of the past, but also cause you pain in the present. What has passed, I can’t make up for it anymore, peace of mind is more important than anything else.

Many people, when unable to save their relationship, start to torture themselves by smoking non-stop, drinking alcohol or indulging in unhealthy pastimes. It was clear that the relationship could not be repaired, and even harmed himself. Regret cannot help you save a person, nor can it make up for the mistakes you have made in the past.

People who are too immersed in the past but cannot let go are cowards, narrow-minded, short-sighted. The right thing to do is to acknowledge and accept the results, then focus on the future.

4. Always complaining, lamenting

Complaining people are like a malignant tumor in the body, which quickly spreads and worsens when the mood goes down. Emotional control is the only medicine to get out of this state.

For many people, when something doesn’t go the way they want, it’s common to resent and complain. They believe this can solve and reverse the problem. However, everything is still there. Complaining does not make difficulties disappear, but only wastes time, making people’s mood heavy and unable to calmly find solutions.

There is a philosophical concept that says: “Whatever exists is rational.” The treatment you receive is based on its origin, condition and reason for its “existence”. Don’t let complaining become a habit every time you talk. Complaining about difficulties on your career path only proves one thing: You’re powerless to deal with it.
