About 2,000 candidates take the exam to enter the 10th grade of the National University of Ho Chi Minh City

This year, the Gifted High School stopped recruiting non-specialized classes and opened more specialized classes by field, focusing on improving interdisciplinary thinking capacity in solving related problems, and at the same time creating favorable conditions for students. Students have the opportunity to interact with experts and scientists to understand more about the profession, thereby orienting their future work.

The exam takes place at 3 test sites within 3 days (June 4-6). Candidates are required to take 4 exams, in which there are 3 exams for non-specialized subjects namely Maths, Literature and English and one exam for elective subjects from the following subjects: Math, Informatics, Physics, Chemistry , Biology, Literature and English. Today, candidates will take the compulsory subjects Math and English for non-specialists, the remaining 2 days candidates will take the non-specialized Literature exam and the registered specialized subjects.

At the exam site of the University of Natural Sciences (Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City), many candidates were present early to prepare for the Math exam. Cac Lam, a student at Long Phuoc Secondary School, Long Thanh District, Dong Nai Province shared that he went to Ho Chi Minh City yesterday to prepare for this exam. Lam has aspirations to attend classes specializing in English, majoring in Literature and majoring in Social Sciences.

In addition, Lam also registered an additional wish to attend a specialized school in Dong Nai province. Lam shared: “I have prepared for a long time, from knowledge to psychology. Part of me is calmer because I’ve been through 2 mock exams, so I’m calmer, but seeing you guys here, I’m a bit worried.”
