In some cases, because the cervix is ​​too narrow, making it difficult for menstruation to flow out, often causing dysmenorrhea, due to the insertion of the IUD, genetics. Due to hormonal factors, an abnormal increase in progesterone and an increase in prorostaglandin in the blood affect the uterine muscles, so it often causes dysmenorrhea.

Uterine contractions are not normal or too tight, making the uterus not easy to relax normally, thus causing dysmenorrhea.

Regarding the use of drugs, Doctor Dinh recommends that women can use non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, pain relievers or birth control pills to limit blood loss and abdominal pain during menstruation. moon.

However, when taking drugs, it should be noted that pain relievers have the advantage of fast pain relief, long-term use can cause many dangerous side effects such as peptic ulcer, gastric perforation in humans. gastritis, hepatitis, interstitial nephritis, renal necrosis, pseudo-asthma, prolonged bleeding time, even myocardial infarction…

Moreover, when used regularly can cause “no ovulation syndrome” despite still having a normal menstrual cycle. This is one of the causes of infertility.
