Many passengers said they had to spend at least 8 hours with their families, but did not know when they could get to the gate.

According to Phuong An (Binh Duong), on a flight from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi, many families with children a few months old are in the same situation since 9 am at the airport because of the long delay.

When a passenger asks Vietjet to reply and take other measures to arrange another flight, the airline’s representative will reply because the plan has changed, if the customer does not want to wait, go to the counter to check in. In case the passenger agrees to wait, the airline will return 400,000 VND.

“More than half a day has passed, people have to bring their children up early to wait for them, but the company replies irresponsibly.” Phuong An reflects.

A representative of Tan Son Nhat International Airport said that the cause came from a server problem located in Canada that was broken and slow to fix. This chain incident caused almost all Vietjet flights to be delayed, even canceled from the afternoon of June 3.

By 2pm 4/6, the server system had been repaired, the security counter was no longer congested.

To support passengers, leaders of Tan Son Nhat airport have directed to strengthen 100% of security, support screening, provide a local check-in network for the airline to serve passengers check-in, check-in luggage. , take off, reduce the duration of the delay.

“The incident caused a delay in the line, not only the outgoing flight was delayed, but even the flights to Ho Chi Minh City were also slow because they could not be handled,” said a representative of Tan Son Nhat airport.

According to the airport representative, at the peak, the number of passengers in the terminal was so crowded that there was no place to stand.

The airport had to open a Bus – lounge room (a new area that has not been exploited) and a part of lobby A (a place for passengers of other airlines) so that people could have a place to rest and eat.

“As a close follower from yesterday until now, we know that people are very miserable and tired of poor service. Frankly, people are angry.” airport representative said.

According to the provisions of the Civil Aviation Law, in case the airline is delayed from 2 hours, it must provide drinking water for passengers; from 4 o’clock must provide free food service; and over 6 hours must provide free hotel for guests.

However, according to passengers who are waiting for more than 6 hours due to the incident on June 4, they do not receive the above services.
