Designer Cuong Dam organizes a contemporary show imbued with traditional culture-Fashion

Designer 9x made a name for himself with a special scale show that conveys a message towards traditional culture.

After many years of working, designer Cuong Dam decided to make a mark in his fashion journey with a huge project called “Inflowing”.. Not only a fashion show, this is also Time Week. Pages and Arts honor the creative process and Vietnamese cultural values.

Starting from his background as an architect, he approaches creativity based on logical thinking about layout – shape – color of architectural art. At the same time, the designer has explored his artistic perspective with designs based on contemporary spirit with inspiration from Vietnamese culture.

Prominent in the designer’s career is the success of the show “The Warriors in Yoshiwara”, which took place within the framework of LCDF fashion week in 2020, which is well received by fashionistas.

Designer Cuong Dam was recognized and praised by fashion experts on L’Officel Singapore newspaper.

He has accompanied many influential faces such as Miss Luong Thuy Linh, fashionista Quynh Anh Shyn, Tu Hao, MC Lieu Ha Trinh, …. In particular, Cuong Dam accompanied Kim Duyen on the journey. conquer the beauty of Miss Universe 2021.

Incubated with ideas for many years, the designer organizes Art and Fashion Week with the desire to convey Vietnamese cultural values ​​through the language of fashion and art. The project includes a fashion night to launch a new collection and a week to showcase the research and creation process of the designs.

This is a curious project because of its unique ideas and images, creating an intersection between Fashion and Installation Art, in order to honor Vietnamese cultural values.

The costumes in the collection are inspired by the concept of yin – yang.

Prominent in the series of events is a fashion show to launch a new collection, marking a strong transformation of designer Cuong Dam in his fashion journey. Carefully invested in sound and lighting, the show promises to create a space not inferior to international catwalks. In addition, the project also has the participation of major donors.

Art Fashion Week will be held on June 13, 2022 at VCCA art center, Hanoi.

With the new collection, designer Cuong Dam continues to exploit Vietnamese cultural values ​​and create by thinking approach the world, bringing a vision of the future.

The collection with 42 designs with primary “raw materials”, simple, bold national traditions such as rice grains, rice bundles, hats, camisole, four-body shirt … was developed and transformed by Cuong Dam High-end, sustainable and contemporary fashion line.

The costumes also show non-structural, non-gender.

The future is clearly conveyed through the breakthrough form, innovative texture and youthful color gamut. The collection once again portrays pride in traditional values ​​with the desire to extend to modern art and reach international levels.

Beyond the framework of a Fashion event, the project is also an Art Week showcasing the research and creation process in a large-scale exhibition space. Since then, the young designer wants the public to have a more academically valuable view of fashion.
