Floods rumbled on Fenghuang ancient town in China

Flood Submerged areas in the ancient town of Fenghuang in China after heavy rains in Hunan, Yahoo News reported.
Video taken from June 1 shows a turbid river rushing in, engulfing nearby houses and almost completely submerging stone bridges in China’s historic metropolis.
No deaths or injuries have been recorded so far.









According to the media China, the maximum rainfall is up to 246.5 mm, causing the Tuojiang River to flood. Water flooded the houses along the riverbank and flooded many roads in Fenghuang Ancient Town.
Most of the structures in Fenghuang Ancient Town date back to the Ming and Qing dynasties. Local people here are mainly Miao or Tu Gia ethnic minorities.
