During the investigation, the police agency determined that the organizer of the illegal mining of minerals at the above location was Tran Van Bay (SN 1970, residing in Minh Hop hamlet, Minh Hop commune, Quy Hop district).

The amount of minerals (white marble) of all kinds illegally exploited has the volume of 1,200m3. On July 16, the Investigation Police Agency issued a decision to temporarily hold Tran Van Bay for investigation and clarification.

On July 23, based on the investigation results, the Investigation Police Agency, Nghe An Provincial Police issued a decision to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused, and order Tran Van Bay to be detained for the crime of “violating the case.” regulations on research, exploration and exploitation of natural resources” according to Clause 2, Article 227 of the Penal Code.
