Korean U23 coach raced to see, surprised when U23 Vietnam lost the victory
The U23 match between Korea and U23 Malaysia takes place at 18:00 (Uzbek time), while the U23 match between Vietnam and Thailand will kick off at 20:00. This caused coach Hwang Sun-hong to race against time to travel the 25km distance from Lokomotiv Stadium to Milliy Stadium in the capital Tashkent.
After Korea U23 defeated Malaysia U23 4-1, coach Hwang Sun-hong also attended the post-match press conference. At the end, he immediately moved to Miliy Stadium, fortunately did not encounter traffic jams and was able to watch the second half of U23 Vietnam – U23 Thailand.

Khusnulla Asadullaev, the team leader for Korea U23, went to support coach Hwang Sun-hong and assistant.
“Coach Hwang sat in stand A watching attentively. He was surprised when U23 Vietnam was equalized in injury time,” Asadullaev revealed on the afternoon of June 3 before the training session of U23 Korea. After that, Coach Hwang went straight to the hotel U23 Korea stationed.

Asadullev thinks that the U23 players in Vietnam are inexperienced, but also considers it an interesting point of young players, who always play their best, without tricks.

“Vietnam U23 is hard to beat Korea U23. They are very strong,” said Asadullev. “However, you will beat Malaysia U23.”
Asadullev once went to China to watch the 2018 Asian U23 final between U23 Uzbekistan and U23 Vietnam. He was surprised with what U23 Vietnam showed when bringing the match to extra time. The performance of U23 Vietnam over the years still impresses the Uzbek man.
On June 5, U23 Vietnam will face U23 Korea at Lokomotiv Stadium. U23 Vietnam has never won or drawn U23 Korea in the past. The last time the two teams met, U23 Korea won 2-1 in the group stage of U23 Asia 2018.
