New generation Toyota Corolla Altis launched with a new hybrid engine

Toyota has just launched an upgraded version of the 12th generation Corolla and will add a Hybrid AWD engine.

Recently, Toyota has officially announced the new facelifted Corolla, which includes sedan and hatchback variants. This upgrade focuses on the engine configuration and a little change in the interior and exterior of the car. The most notable highlight is the addition of Toyota Corolla to the North American market with two AWD hybrid engine versions.

These versions will combine a 1.8L I4 petrol engine with two electric motors front and rear on the LE AWD Hybrid and SE AWD Hybrid versions. Meanwhile, other versions such as SE LE XLE XSE all have the option of a front-wheel drive hybrid engine.

In addition, the pure petrol versions will use the 2.0L I4 petrol engine instead of the previous 1.8L petrol engine. This helps Corolla’s power increase from 139 hp before to 169 hp. The car has the option of a 6-speed manual or a CVT automatic.

Toyota Corolla 2023 in the US will still include LE, SE, XSE, XLE versions with the same design as before. In terms of equipment, SE XSE XLE versions have redesigned LED daytime running lights. The LE version has a new rear bumper, the SE and XSE versions use new 18-inch wheels as well as an additional rear diffuser. Meanwhile, the hatchback variants get a new grille with chrome accents

Inside, all Corolla 2023 versions use an 8-inch entertainment screen with internet access. This screen can be controlled by voice, connects to Apple Carplay and Android Auto. SE and LE versions have an analog clock display with a 4.2-inch screen; XSE and XLE versions use a 7-inch screen behind the steering wheel. Three more advanced versions including SE, XSE and XLE are equipped with a 9-speaker JBL Premium sound system with a capacity of 800W.

In addition, the car will also be equipped with the latest Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 safety package. Includes updated features of Pedestrian Detection Pre-Collision System, Lane Departure Warning with Steering Assist, Radar Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Tracking Assist, Recognizing signs, automatic headlights.
