Living in Khoai Chau district, Hung Yen province, Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc also returned to Hanoi with her daughter to take the exam to enter the Foreign Language High School for the Gifted. Due to the distance from home, Ms. Ngoc decided to sit at the exam hall for 4 hours waiting for her son to take the exam. “Even though I know it won’t help, sitting here makes me feel more secure and I hope my child will too in the exam room.”

While the total target is 500 (in 3 systems including specialized system, specialized system with scholarship and non-specialized system), 50 higher than last year’s target.

While the number of candidates registered to take the exam in the specialized blocks has increased, only the Russian language group has decreased, even significantly (from 208 records last year, to only 117 this year).

The English major still has the highest number of registered candidates with 2,012 records; However, the rate of “playing” in the French major is the highest (about 15 students taking 1).
