Proposing to remove Covid-19 insurance regulations for international guests
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism proposes to remove the requirement that customers buy insurance to pay a minimum of 10,000 USD for Covid-19 treatment.
The proposal is included in a recent request for opinions from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to the Ministries of Health, Public Security, Foreign Affairs, National Defense, Transport, Information and Communications.
The document states that Covid-19 treatment is not as expensive as it used to be, most do not require long hospital stays. Therefore, requiring travelers to purchase insurance that covers the cost of Covid-19 treatment is no longer necessary. The requirement for international visitors to buy insurance with content to pay for Covid-19 treatment is at least 10,000 USD in the plan No. 829/PA-BVHTTDL issued on March 15, when Vietnam opens to tourism in normal conditions. usually new.
