According to Reuters news agency, on June 4, the Russian Defense Ministry said that Russian forces shot down a Ukrainian military plane carrying weapons and ammunition near the Black Sea port of Odessa.
However, it is not clear what type of aircraft and weapons it is carrying. The Ukrainian side has not yet commented on the above information.
The Russian Defense Ministry said that Russian troops also used missiles to attack an artillery training center in the Sumy region of Ukraine. Moscow also attacked and destroyed an outpost of “foreign mercenaries” in the Odessa region.
“High-precision air-launched missiles hit a Ukrainian artillery training center, where foreign instructors are present, in the Stetsovka settlement of the Sumy region,” the spokesman said. Russian Defense Ministry Igor Konashenkov said.
Mr. Igor Konashenkov said that foreign instructors used this center to train Ukrainians on how to use M777 155 mm cannon.
Since the beginning of the “military operation” in Ukraine on February 24, the Russian armed forces have destroyed 187 aircraft, 1,104 drones, 3,406 tanks and armored vehicles, 466 Ukrainian missile launchers.
